A late 18th century lignum vitae bullet shaped grinder of small size. Well turned with the body unscrewing in two parts. The base where the handle is stored and the top where the coffee, peppercorns or were placed in to grind.
The grinder is smaller than most examples seen from the 18th century.
It only measures
16cm h excl the finial e 5.2cm w at the base.
