Description

A beautiful oriental camphorwood chest or trunk with exquisite carved detail throughout. The intricate carving depicts scenes of oriental life, there are carved wooden handles to either side, and the oriental camphorwood chest is raised on carved block feet. The lid opens to reveal a spacious interior, along with a pleasing camphorwood aroma. One of the best examples we have seen!

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. There is surface wear, including age related marks and fading in places. Overall, solid and sounds and a particularly good example of an oriental camphorwood chest.
