Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The base consists of two dummy drawers which allow extra hanging space in the top section. There is an arrangement of two short over one long drawer, each with turned wooden knobs. The Welsh oak cupboard has panelled sides and is raised on bracket feet. The cupboard separates into two parts at the mid-section for ease of transport and movement. Good colour and patina throughout – a rather lovely example.

Item Ref; M-2704
DIMENSIONS:
Height – 193cm / Width – 134cm / Depth – 55cm
CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks to the cupboard doors and drawer fronts (pictured). There is a split to one of the cupboard door panels and some minor losses to the top of the door (pictured). The Welsh oak cupboard remains structurally solid and sound with the drawers running well. There is a small minor loss to the back right hand side of the cornice. There is evidence of old historic wood worm in places (mainly to the back) – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, a good example of an early 19th century Welsh oak cupboard with attractive colour and patina throughout.
