Description

Rugs of the Ferdows Baluch are quite unique and nothing like the rugs made by the Khorassan Baluch, which tend to have a darker colour palette of madder-reds and indigo-blues.

This amazing Baluch rug, made circa 1900, has a beautiful natural coral field with large stylised fish, swimming round water-lilies - symbols of happiness.

The main indigo-blue border again, depicts two fish swimming around water-lilies and powerfully frames the field.

Size: 1.93m x 1.12m (6' 4" x 3' 8").
