This unusual and craftsman-made BRASS & COPPER SNUFF BOX, in the form of a Lady''s Heeled Shoe, dates from circa 1880.As well as the usual hinged lid to the top of the shoe, there is an ingenious ''secret'' compartment in the heel which is opened by carefully raising the copper and brass hinged heel cap. The SHOE is in original condition and both hinges work well.
