Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
A rare set of Victorian French style Walnut chairs.
Featuring a spectacular moulded and carved balloon back, finely shaped and carved centre back & top rail, serpentine front rail with a moulded lip. The chairs have fully upholstered seats which finishes to typical cabriole lightly carved front legs.

Featuring a lovely lightly faded colour and lots of patina which have been sympathetically restored by carefully waxing these chairs. They have obviously been looked after and cared for as it is very rare to find a set of 6 Victorian chairs in such good condition, the majority of sets get broken up or chairs lost or broken. These chairs are of a very high quality, are made from all solid Walnut with no loose joints or breaks and are free from woodworm.

The material covering on the chairs is a good used condition Regency stripe material finished with a darker matching braid and is from a smoke and pet free home. These sprung seated chairs have traditional padding which is in fantastic order still and they are very comfortable seating with no spring clunking or squeaking.

Please note: The material is not perfect and there are some small staining marks but they are generally good.
We can reupholster these chairs in a material of your choice if this material is not to your taste (for obvious added costs) if you enquire.
