Antique Mahogany Biedermeier Chest of Drawers

19th century
Description

A magnificent antique Biedermeier chest of drawers dating from circa 1850. In beautifully flame figured mahogany, standing on turned bun feet with 3 drawers; the top and bottom single height, the middle a dummy fronted double height drawer. It features a moulded top over shaped drawer fronts each with original fancy mother of pearl escutcheons. Each drawer has a lock and is oak lined. Beautiful patina and figuring to the mahogany.

Mahogany / Oak

Condition Report:

Good condition. Lovely warm patina to mahogany. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some splits to the veneers at the sides, which have been filled which have been furniture wax.
