19th Century French Gilt Leaner Mirror - Split Mercury Glass

Elegant 19th century French gilt leaner mirror in beautiful condition.
 
It dates from around 1840.
 
It has its gorgeous real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame with no chips.
 
It also has its original split mercury glass in excellent condition that is so hard to find and gives a sparkle and reflection like no other. Split mercury glass was used in the Palais de Versailles!
 
It has its original pine backboards and a wire ready to be hung.
 
It would make a stunning free standing dressing room mirror, hall mirror or overmantel.
