Antique William IV Mahogany Leather Top Writing Desk

Description

An excellent original William IV period writing table in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840-1860 period.

The quality is amazing, this has very strong and beautifully carved legs and beautiful overall design. There are lovely turned mahogany handles, a nicely moulded top edge and a gorgeous inset gold tooled leather top.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in fantastic condition for its age. There is some minor wear and various small bumps and marks here and there under the polish. All normal patina and character for a desk this age.

Depth – 20 inches , 50 cm

Height – 29 inches , 74 cm

Knee height – 23.5 inches , 60 cm
