A Late 18th Century Silver Snuff Box

A superb and collectable item of late 18th Century silver. This is a silver box for snuff or tablets, with a gilded interior. The body is rectangular with 'clipped' corners and has a lid with a concealed hinge. The body is beautifully engraved with foliar patterns to the lid and a central cartouche with armorial. The sides and base are also engraved in detailed dot and stipple patterns, with flowers and a sunburst to the base. An interesting and good quality example, 230 years old. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. There is some loss to the gilding inside, shown in photos and commensurate with age and use.
