Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Armchair

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb antique Edwardian armchair, beautifully made from solid mahogany with satin wood inlay. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.

It is of very fine quality and has a stunning design. The mahogany frame is not too imposing, with a beautifully shaped back, stunning curves on the arms and a gorgeous stretchered base. The back is profusely inlaid with amazing satin wood in a lovely design.

We have had this re-polished and re-upholstered in our cream cotton fabric, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are just some signs of minor natural wear under the polish, this has a lovely patina.

Depth – 21 inches , 54 cm

Height – 35 inches , 89 cm

Seat height – 17 inches , 43 cm
