Description

For sale, this excellent Japanese Satsuma bowl with lobbed slightly everted rim, dating to the Meiji period. Richly decorated to the well of the bowl with interiors of adults and children, along with butterflies and floral sprays. The inner rim with further geometric designs in gilt, iron red and black. The exterior with a fine band of trailing wisteria and flower heads. The bowl is in excellent condition and without any damage or restoration. Base signature rubbed and illegible. Size diameter 12.5cm and 5.3cm tall. Price £295.00 including shipping to within the UK
