The campaign drawers also stand on neat turned feet which give the piece quite an elegant feel. All the drawers run smoothly and the top comes away from the base and then sits flush onto the pegs. The reason for this piece breaking into two is because it would have been carried on a campaign trip through India so it need to be easily moveable. But even in two halves this piece is very heavy. Overall condition is very good with an attractive patina which I think would work well in a number of interiors.
