An Attractive French Silver Tea Strainer

1900 - 1920
Description

A charming French silver 'suspension' tea strainer. This beautiful and unusual piece is shallow bucket shape ,with a decorated band. There is a wire-work swing handle which is attached to a clip. The clip is inserted into the teapot spout and gravity levels the strainer when in use. An excellent and interesting collector's piece both decorative and usable. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no holes or splits. There is some shadowing from fire stain, which is in the annealing process and not damage.
