Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The top also has a removable gallery, the drawers fronts have lovely inset brass military handles and this desk sits on turned bun feet. The drawers are solid oak lined, and have fine quality hand cut dovetailed joints.
This is beautifully finished on the back too, so can be used as a free standing item. The top comes off and this breaks down into three main pieces for ease of transport.
We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
