The telescope also comes with an additional lens and eyepiece.
The telescope sits atop a short folding brass tripod. Two screws below the telescope fix it onto the stand. The stand allows the telescope to swivel completely around and move up and down.
Both the telescope and stand are in good original condition and display well - a real statement piece. The telescope is not in perfect condition but there are no major damages. It has suffered some minor dinks, dents and small knocks and scratches to the tube and the lacquer has tarnished and worn in places. The lenses are undamaged and produce a clear and crisp image with a good range. Please bare in mind the telescope is 100 years old and the lenses will not be like new. There are some small specks of dirt on the lenses but it is perfectly usable.
The telescope comes with its original fitted pine box which has a retailer's label for "Clarkson's Optical Stores. 838 High Holborn, London, W.C". There are some signs of age and use around the box - some old splits, knocks and mark but overall it displays well.
