Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table

Description

An excellent antique Victorian period writing table in mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880’s.

The quality is fantastic, this has beautifully turned fluted mahogany legs & bun handles. The top has a very useful top gallery and an inset gold tooled leather writing surface. The drawers are of solid wood construction and have fine hand cut dovetailed joints.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. There are various small marks and bumps here and there under the polish, giving this plenty of character which is normal for a piece of this age.

Depth – 22 inches , 56 cm

Height – 31 inches , 80 cm

Desk height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Knee height – 24 inches , 60 cm
