Description

This delightful Edwardian silver Arts & Craft jewellery box is dated Birmingham 1905 and bears the hallmarks of the renowned Henry Matthews. Of cushioned rectangular form, the hinged cover with planished decorations surrounding a vacant oval cartouche. Conforming spot-hammered sides and gilt interior.

Fully hallmarked solid silver base.

Hallmarks:

H.M for Henry Matthews.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "f" for 1905.

Dimensions:

Length: 11.5cm / 4.4 inches.

Height: 3.5cm / 1.3 inches.

Width: 5cm / 2 inches.

Weight: 98 g / 3.4 ounces
