Description

A huge 18th century antique carved oak coffer. The coffer has a five sunken panel hinged lid with carved decoration to the edge. The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious interior. To the front of the oak coffer are five carved panels with further decorative carved to the base. The carved oak coffer is raised on simple stile feet. A particularly large example.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and staining to the top and front (pictured). The carved oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound. Hinges appear original. Evidence of old historic wood worm in places – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. This is a huge coffer so please check the measurements before making a purchase.
