Description

Delightful mid 19th.c. portrait of a young girl dated 1854. Half length portrait painted in oil on canvas of a confident looking girl in a pretty blue dress with fine lace collar and cuffs and a tiny gold earring. Signed Troxler and dated in the lower right hand corner of the canvas. Presented in the original gilded wooden frame (quite heavily rubbed). A couple of small scratches to the surface beside the left eye, otherwise good original condition.
