A Fine Set of Six Regency Rosewood Dining Chairs Circa 1820

Description

A fine set of six Regency rosewood dining chairs circa 1820. Constructed using the finest solid rosewood, each having a vitruvian scroll carved top rail with carved roundels, above an anthemion pierced fretwork splat. Having reeded supports and original caned seats and raised on turned and fluted front supports with splayed rear legs. Having drop in padded seats in need of upholstery which are not photographed. English circa 1820. These chairs are reminiscent of eminent designers of this period such as George Smith or Charles Heathcote Tatham

Dimensions: 18" wide x 16" deep x 34" high (seat height 16")
