Antique Elm Six Plank Chest

A charming small 18th century antique elm six plank chest. The antique six plank chest has a hinged lid that opens to reveal an open interior. The chest is of simple construction and consists of six elm planks. Raised on shaped sides and finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

Height – 50.5cm / Width – 91.5cm / Depth – 34cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, and staining to the top (pictured), there is also a heart shaped mark to the top. The six plank chest remains structurally solid and sound. The lid has bowed/warped over time and does not sit flush (pictured). Some evidence of old historic wood worm in places – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, a charming example of an antique elm six plank chest or coffer.

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
