Antique Omega Gun Metal Pocket Watch

Antique Omega gun metal pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name and it has the serial number 4,688,851 which dates it back to around 1914. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. This inner cover has a scratch, probably where a tool has slipped in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gun metal with rose gold highlights. It is in lovely condition, just a slight shallow indentation to the hinged case back. The inside of the case back has the early Omega logo.

The acrylic lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has blued steel hands, an inner 24 hour dial picked with red numbers (often seen on watches used during the first Word War), a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track. There is a hairline running from the centre to number 12 but it is faint.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
