Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.

Purchased in the 1990s from the renowned fine antiques dealer (founded in 1859 and trading continuously since) Salomon Stodel of Amsterdam and has been retained in the same ownership since. The purchase price was 17,500 gilders - more than £7,000 - original invoice will be provided.

The receipt dated 2 December 1998 describes the mirror as:
'Een antieke verguld houten Lodewijk XV spiegel, Nederlands, ca 1750 to 1765'
('An antique gilded wooden Louis XV mirror, Dutch, c. 1750 to 1765')
A beautiful, fine and elegant 18th century mirror in lovely original condition.
Dimensions are:
31 inches wide and 42 inches high and 9 inches deep
