A magnificent large George III nine carat gold seal, the carnelian matrix with an armorial crest of a griffin erased in a shield surmounted by a knight’s head beneath a crest of a stag’s head erased. The Latin motto reads: ‘Deum Cole Regum Serva’ (‘Worship God, Serve the King’). This is the motto for the COLE family. Wonderful quality and condition, a super collector’s piece. Condition: In outstanding antique condition. Maker: Unmarked, laser test indicates 9 carat gold. Dimensions: Height including suspension ring: 46mm. Width: 36mm. Depth: 28mm.
