Antique Burr Walnut Secretaire Bureau C1920

Superb Antique Burr Walnut Secretaire Bureau and dating from around 1920. Constructed from quality Burr Walnut it has a double dome cornice top and sides with deep moulded edge above two arched bevelled mirrored doors set within crossbanded frames and brass escutcheons. The doors open to reveal a superb interior with two ornate burr walnut doors to the centre with ornate brass escutcheons and flanked on either side by an architectural column with gilt mouldings. There are twenty seven various sized drawers and 12 letter racks/ pigeon holes. To the base there are two candle slides. The burr walnut fall front with ornate brass escutcheon opens to reveal a lovely interior with various drawers and letter racks. To the base there are four long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original brass handles and escutcheons . All of the drawers have crossbanded edges. It is raised on bracket feet and the top separates for ease of transporting.
