The subtly carved cornice above the satinwood banded frieze leading to a pair of unusual oval astragal glazed doors with further Sheraton inlaid patrae and brass closing strip, the interior having 3 mahogany adjustable shelves.

The bureau section having an inlaid fall which opens to reveal a tooled leather writing surface with various shaped pigeonholes, 2 inlaid drawers with brass pulls and a central cupboard.The base having 2 short inlaid drawers with brass swan neck handles and flanked by the support lopers for the fall. The attractive pair of doors having large Sheraton style oval panels in figured mahogany with satinwood banding and again with a brass closing strip. The whole raised on ogee bracket feet, mahogany linings throughout and working locks with key. This attractive bureau bookcase is in immaculate condition and ready for use in the home or office.
