Chippendale Mahogany Urn Stand Circa 1760

Description

Superb George III Chippendale cuban mahogany urn stand fitted with front slide. Wonderful fretted gallery and leg brackets. Carved stop flutes to frieze all round. Raised on moulded chamfered legs joined by carved cross stretchers with central carved pineapple. In stunning un-touched original condition with hardly a blemish and no break. Wonderful soft colour with great waxed patina. This is the best example of its kind that I have seen for a very long time. Difficult to better.
