Large Dutch Turned Tobacco Box Circa 1820

Description

Fine and large early 19th century Dutch turned fruitwood tobacco box and lid with ebonised decoration. Lovely spired lid. Standing on wide circular base with small circular compartments all round for spills or match strikers. Most unusual. All in superb un-touched original condition with hardly a blemish. great colour with fine waxed patina.

Size; 13" high, 8" diameter base.
