Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
These are a very useful size, tall slim and not too deep, with lots of storage space. They sit on plinth bases, with beautifully turned mahogany handles and cross banded tops.
They are of excellent quality with fine dovetailed joints in the drawers, and have all the patina and charm of an antique Victorian pair of chests, which are extremely hard to find in this size.
They have been re-polished according to traditional techniques, so have a fantastic antique look.
