A Fine Quality English Burr Walnut & Ormolu Mounted Bonheur Du Jour

Description

A fine quality English burr walnut & ormolu mounted bonheur du jour. The upper section having a galleried back and five rectangular drawers with boxwood linings and cast ormolu handles. The lower section of serpentine outline with a central leather inset writing surface, veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut and with an ormolu moulded edge. The front with fine floral marquetry inlay and raised on ormolu mounted cabriole supports with tulipwood banding terminating in sabots. English circa 1860-1870 in excellent condition

Dimensions: 47" wide x 36" high x 24" deep (29" high to writing surface)
