A superb small George III mahogany serpentine fronted chest of drawers. The figured mahogany caddy top above the very unusual Hepplewhite design frieze which has fluted detail and carved oval patrea. Below the conforming serpentine shaped and cock beaded mahogany slide with brass axehead handles. The 4 graduated and cockbeaded drawers all retain the original gilded brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The sides having canted corners leading to the splayed feet joined with a shaped frieze.
