Superb 18th Century Gillows Mahogany Linen Press

Description

A superb 18th century Mahogany linen press attributed to Gillows. Having wonderful figured fielded panelled doors of which open to reveal the original solid Oak linen slides. The bottom section having 2 short and one full length drawer of which are all Oak lined and retain the original high quality lacquered swan neck handles, locks and escutcheons. The whole raised on shaped bracket feet. This beautiful linen press is of compact and restrained proportions, retaining the original finish with a rich patina and lustre throughout. English, Circa 1765.
