Art Deco 2.43 Carat Baguette Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1925

1900 - 1920
Description

A truly spectacular vintage engagement ring. It’s unusual to find a baguette cut diamond as large as this and this stone – graded by HRD Antwerp as J colour, VS2 clarity – makes you wonder why. The icy and bright centre seems almost to glow from within. The stone is secured by four claws with fine diamond shaped detailing in the gallery. The split shoulders are set with four (two each side) further baguettes and two (one each side) square step cuts, leading to a slim D-shaped shank. Unique, impressive, beautiful.

Accompanied by a diamond grading report from HRD Antwerp (#210000182371).

Cut – Baguette cut in the centre. The diamonds in the shoulders are baguette cuts and square step cuts.

Colour – J. The diamonds are in shoulders are G to H.

Clarity – VS2. The diamonds in the shoulders are VS1 to SI1; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – 2.43 in the centre. With a further approximate 0.44 carat in the shoulders.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
