Fabulous 18th Century Oak Moon Phase Longcase Clock, Circa 1790 by Walbrough & Thomas of Bristol.

The Walbrough family are recorded as working in the last half of the 18th Century until the mid 19th Century & were known to have collaborated with several other makers.

This handsome longcase clock has an eight day, four pillar movement striking the hour on a bell.

It has a seconds dial & date calendar as well as tide dial for High Water at Bristol Key.

Lovely slim oak case made from quarter sawn oak with highly figured medullary rays & with mahogany banding, original lock to the trunk door.

Swan neck pediment to the hood with original paterae & finials, corinthian columns & original spandrels to the dial.

Case in excellent condition & movement in good working order.
