Antique Edwardian Bureau

An attractive antique inlaid Edwardian mahogany bureau. The Edwardian mahogany bureau has a decorative fall front that opens to reveal a fitted interior. The bureau has four long graduating drawers, each fitted with Georgian design brass handles. Raised on bracket feet. There is decorative inlaid detail throughout including wonderful shell decoration to the fall front. A good quality example with rich colour throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including some age-related marks to the fall front and drawer fronts (pictured). There are some losses and cracks to the inlaid detail in places (pictured). The Edwardian mahogany bureau remains structurally solid and sound with the drawers running well. There is some minor evidence of old historic wood worm (mostly to the back bracket feet) – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. No key present. Overall, a good quality Edwardian mahogany bureau.
