This handsome vintage burgundy leather playing card / whist box which is of fine quality is made by British luxury leather goods maker B Finnigan of Manchester and is in wonderful condition.

The box is fitted with a lock to the front that comes with the key, has a burgundy silk lined top and leather interior that is fitted to hold 2 packs of cards. This comes complete with 2 full sets of De La Rue playing cards.

Finnigan was one of the finest British leather goods makers and retailer in the 19th century and had a customer base of American millionaires such as the Rockefellers, the Vanderbilts and the Fords.

A very fine playing card box that is in great condition so is an ideal gift for a card enthusiast.
