Antique Victorian Brass and Iron Half Tester Double Bed and dating from around 1880. The two side rails to the headboard extending upwards with brass finials leading to a brass rail to the top with folding curtain rails of brass and iron to each side. The headboard itself with brass rail above iron slats and with brass bosses . The footboard has a shaped brass top rail with brass roundal to the centre supported on brass and iron rails with further iron rail supports with brass bosses and brass shell decorations. The bed posts with brass cuffs and turned bed knobs to the top. It has its original drop in side irons and is raised on original castors.

A substantial and exceptional double bed. Takes a standard double mattress.
