Japanese Pure Silver Carp Okimono - Signed Tansho

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this magical pair of Meiji Period 1868-1912 cast silver Carp upon an oval black lacquered base, the carp finely rendered from pure 950 grade silver with mixed metal eyes picked out in shakud0, shibuichi and gold, the fish have been cast and carved in fine and realistic detail, in particular the scales and fins, and the overall balance of the fish are a perfect rendition, they are positioned upon an oval black lacquer base where they can be shown to the best effect, each carp signed to the underside Tansho, and bearing the jungin pure silver mark , come complete with signed Tomobako, a fine quality and very tranquil okimono to enhance your Japanese themed space, or to add to your Japanese works of art collection.
