Victorian Lamp Standard Circa 1880

Description

Victorian lamp standard circa 1880. A good and large telescopic standard lamp which still retains the original cupholder for an oil lamp reservoir, prior to it being converted to electricity, possibly in the Edwardian period or early 1900s. Extended the lamp is 199 cm and can be reduced to 140 cm.

This is a genuine late Victorian lamp standard, made in a very heavy gauge, with a cast iron loaded base and not to be confused with the later reproductions. Having recently been re-buffed and polished to a high finish It is ready to go into the finest of homes.

The lamp has been decommissioned ( The old wiring removed).

We can arrange to have the lamp rewired for you at cost should you so desire.With this in mind the lamp has been priced accordingly , compare the asking price to others for sale.
