Description

A charming 18th century carved oak mule chest. The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious interior. The front has three decorative carved panels above a single fitted drawer. Raised on short, stile feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places, including some age-related marks and staining to the lid and front (pictured). The is shrinkage to the right-hand side. The top has warped slightly. Of good construction Some evidence of old historic wood worm in places – this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Some honest repairs to the lid including braces and butterfly joints.
