Georgian Mahogany Stick Barometer. Circa 1795

18th century
Description

Fine Georgian mahogany stick barometer with architectural pediment and silvered dial. Inlaid with boxwood lines and having circular cistern cover. Maker Scachi & Co, High Holborn, London. In fine un-touched original condition, but with cistern cover repaired and small chip off cornice. Lovely rich colour with fine waxed patina. In working order.

size; 38" high, 5.5" wide, 2.5" deep.
