Large Victorian Mahogany Compactum Wardrobe

19th century
Description

A large Victorian four section compactum wardrobe, circa 1870, the ogee cornice over a pair of mirrored doors opening to reveal a fitted interior with original brushing slides over two short and two long drawers, flanked to either side by panel doors with brass hanging rails, the right hand section with a drawer at the base, raised on a plinth base.

In good overall condition, the wardrobes comes apart for easy transportation. The mirror glass is original, the left hand example does have degradation to the silvering to at the top (see photograph).
