A Victorian Period Burr Walnut Antique “Pop Up” Davenport

Description

A Victorian Period burr walnut antique “pop up” davenport. Of traditional davenport form with a piano front veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with a pop up section with a pierced fretwork gallery, having pigeon holes and drawers. The piano top opening to reveal an adjustable leather writing surface, pen tray and original inkwell. The right hand side having four mahogany lined drawers with burr walnut fronts and turned knobs. With carved cabriole supports, a plinth base, turned bun feet and concealed castors. English circa 1860, in super original condition, a lovely mellow colour and patination

Dimensions: 23? wide x 23? deep x 39? high (writing desk height 29?)
