A magnificent, fine and impressive antique 5.72 carat harlequin opal and 7.52 carat diamond, 12 carat yellow gold and platinum set cluster pendant; part of our diverse antique jewellery collections
This magnificent, fine and impressive antique opal pendant has been crafted in 12ct yellow gold with a platinum setting.
The impressive pendant is embellished with a magnificent and rare oval cut harlequin opal*, claw set in subtle relief to the centre of the design.
The magnificent feature opal is encircled by sixteen stunning, fine and impressive, large individually claw set Old European diamonds, completing the cluster design.
The stunning diamonds are impressively large, in relation to the antique necklace.
The rare antique pendant suspends from a 9ct yellow gold 20" curb chain via a navette shaped platinum ring loop attachment to the upper border of the design, accented with a further three stunning pave set Old European cut diamonds.
This antique necklace is a stunning example of its type; such examples of antique opal jewellery, featuring a harlequin opal of such rarity and magnificence, are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
This harlequin opal pendant necklace has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 12 carat gold and platinum.
This impressive antique pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
NOTE: *Harlequin opals are extremely rare. Their play of colour is arranged in a vivid pattern made up of diamond or rectangular shapes, forming a grid or chessboard formation. This stunning variation is one of the most desirable opal types you could hope to acquire, due to the rarity of the magnificent variant.
Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
This stunning antique necklace is exceptional quality set with a magnificent and rare harlequin opal, displaying a scintillating play of colour and fine presence.
The stunning, fine and impressive supporting diamonds display a fine white colour, brilliance and presence.
The harlequin opal pendant necklace is an exceptional gauge of gold and is in exceptional condition.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique opal jewellery/estate jewelry.
