Victorian Bird Paperweight

Description

Circa 1900-1920 - A heavy and finely detailed paperweight of a bird in very good condition. His face, feathers and general shape indicate good quality casting.

It isn't shiny it is a soft dark brown/black in colour, the camera has caused the shine.

The bird measures 10cm in height and approximately 8.5cm across and weighs about 0.6kgs.

We cannot be sure of what it is made from, perhaps lead based material or similar.
