TallBoy Interiors has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
It is a genuine 18th century French oak mortuary table. This really should be in a museum.
The patina to the wood is superb and gives this table plenty of character to add to its interesting history.
If you are brave enough this could be used as a rustic dining table. It may benefit from a glass top but I will leave that upto you.
If you don't fancy hosting family parties around this piece then as a substantial console table would able be a suitable use for this exceptional piece.
No faults, just character and quality.
