In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Regency era.
It is set on sweeping bracket feet and has brass knobs which, although are not original, do suit the piece well.
It is in good condition for its age. The drawers open well and are clean and tidy inside with pale blue liners. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor marks on the top, old shrinkage splits and some small repairs to chips in the veneer around the drawers but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently waxed and is ready for use.
