Description

A George V era silver calling card case with hallmarks for Birmingham 1920 and makers mark for Samuel M Levi. The case is purse or inner pocket sized. It has a gilt lined lid set diagonally so the card can be easily extracted. The case is chased with a design of fern or ammonite like swirls with a vacant cartouche. The hallmarks are present on both lid and body. The case fits the hand perfectly and has a smooth tactile feel. Very pleasing.
