Art Deco Silver & Guilloche Enamel Scent Bottle by Henry Clifford Davis, Birmingham 1925

1900 - 1920
Description

This small and exquisite silver and pink guilloche enamel scent bottle is dated Birmingham 1925 and was made by Henry Clifford Davis who produced numerous guilloche enamel vanity items. The panelled glass body fitted with a silver screw top lid. The lid inset with a vivid pink enamel cabochon. The neck fitted with the original and rather adorable heart-shaped clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

HCD for Henry Clifford Davis.

Birmingham Assay mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "A" for 1925.

Dimensions:

Height: 8 cm / 3 inches.

Diameter: 2cm / 0.6 inches.

Condition:

Enamel in excellent condition.

No dings or dents to silver lid.

Silver lid rather askew, sloping on one side.

Glass body and glass neck in good condition.
